What Are They?

"What Are They?" title

What exactly is a murder mystery event pack?

A murder mystery evening involves a short play usually broken up with a light supper, I use a hotpot supper followed by apple pie.  In between acts, there is audience participation as they question the characters as they wander around the tables.  There is a final grilling of the surviving characters at the end of the play, which then leads to each team guessing whodunit.  The final reveal then ends the night with the murderer being “caught”.

What I have created is a pack of documents that contains everything you need to put on a successful evening of murder mystery fun!  Typically the Murder Mystery Event packs may include…

  • Full short play script
  • Character profiles, including histories, movements and guilt
  • Whodunit sheet template
  • An idea of how to arrange the evening with a running order
  • Short table quiz
  • Audition piece suggestions for each character
  • Furniture and props list
  • Lighting and effects script
  • Possible reveal script for the murderer
  • Miscellaneous documents that you may want to utilise, for example maps of the fictional setting

Take a look at the “Is It For Me?” page to find out more or skip straight to the list of titles where you can read a snippet of each script…
